Discover both sides of the Iguassu Falls

Visiting both sides of the Iguassu Falls allows for different experiences. Whereas on one side, you are close to the waters, on the other, you have a panoramic view of the world’s largest waterfall system. These are distinct angles of the same natural beauty shared by two countries.

Argentinians will have extra days off to visit both sides of the falls in the upcoming days. The May 25th holiday, commemorating the May Revolution, will ensure a four-day extended holiday in the neighboring country. Many Argentinians are expected to visit the Iguazú National Park in Argentina and, consequently, the Brazilian side, Iguaçu National Park in Brazil as well.

The Argentinian side features two visiting circuits, the lower and upper circuits, and it can take up to a whole day to explore all of it. To complete the adventure, on the Brazilian side, tourists get immersed in nature, with a front view of the falls and as well of the most impressive one, the Devil’s Throat at the end of the walkway, the highlight of the tour.

The journey from one park to the other takes about an hour. To cross the border, it is necessary to carry a valid official identification document or passport. Visitors can go to and from the entrance of both parks by buses that run every hour, as well as through pre-arranged or independent transportation agencies and operators.

Tickets for the Brazilian side can be purchased on the Urbia Cataratas website: cataratasdoiguacu.com.br. The purchase includes scheduling the visit day and time. Tickets for the Argentinian side can also be found on the website. Both parks are open every day for visitation – the Argentinian side from 8:00 to 18:00, and the Brazilian side from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 to 16:00.
